About Us

Hello and welcome to On Paws Professional Pet Services!  We are so glad you took the time to visit us for your pet care needs.  ​

My name is Stephanie and I am the owner of On Paws Professional Pet Services.  I live in San Marcos, TX with my husband, 2 daughters and 3 wonderful pets.  My background is in theatre.  I have a BA in theatre arts and I worked in accounting and purchasing for many years prior to starting On Paws.  Animals have always been a passion of mine and I used to pet sit for friends and coworkers before becoming a professional

After becoming a stay at home mom in 2015 I decided to follow a dream I'd had for several years, starting a professional pet care business, and thus On Paws Professional Pet Services was born. 

I simply love animals and my pets have always been a part of my family.  Since childhood I've had several pets of my own and currently have 2 dogs and a cat.  Our dog's names are Pepper and Gypsy and our cat is Tigger. 

 On Paws is a local, family owned and operated and family oriented business.  My husband, daughters and I make what we do at On Paws possible.  On Paws has grown into so much more than a way for me to earn extra money while caring for my daughter and I'm so grateful for that.   

Though we try our best to not bring our daughters with us on pet sitting visits we may still have to bring them occasionally depending on how busy the schedule is and if we can't arrange other care.  Our older daughter is in school so only our younger daughter may need to come with us.  Our older daughter was the whole reason the business was started and our children will always be a part of it.  They are covered under our insurance and have been around animals their entire lives.  We have taught them how to treat animals with love and respect and while on visits they will never leave our side.  Thank you for your understanding!

We also have an amazing team of pet care professionals who love and care for animals as much as we do and they are just all around great people.  All of our staff goes through a weeklong in the field training, along with pet first aid and CPR training as well as continuing education courses online.  All staff is background checked and goes through a rigorous hiring process.  They are also covered under our insurance and bonding.
